“BUT ONE THING IS NEEDED, AND MARY HAS CHOSEN THAT GOOD PART, WHICH WILL NOT BE TAKEN AWAY FROM HER.”–Luke 10: 42

We can think of many things by looking and by feelings. But the Lord says one thing only is needed. Not optional. Always needed. There are many things that are important, urgent, pressing, demanding, etc. But only one thing is needed. In the example of Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38-42, Mary chose Jesus as the only thing in her life. Kings lose kingdoms, rich have lost money, celebrities lose fame, powerful lose influence, but this good part is never taken away. What is it? Jesus Himself. Fellowship with Him.
