ONE THING IS NEEDED

The Lord says one thing only is needed, not optional, always needed.

There are many things that are important, urgent, pressing, and demanding. But only one thing is needed.

In the example of Mary and Martha in Luke 10: 38-42, Mary chose Jesus as the one needed thing in her life. Kings lose kingdoms, rich have lost money, celebrities lose fame, powerful lose influence, but this good part is never taken away.

What is it? Jesus Himself, fellowship with Him. What about the other things? They must fit in. It must be constantly available and universally applicable to everything we face in life. Not about kitchen versus Bible study. It is about timing and focus. It is a heart issue, not mechanical. Even when serving!
